Headed to Chicago… for one day only, before hitting the road back east again.  Looking forward to some road trip time, and I’ve loaded up with podcasts (addicted to WHYY Radio Times from Philly & ‘This American Life’, of course!) and will be catching up on my reading.

Just read a fascinating piece from the KISSMetrics blog: ‘The Shocking Truth About How Web Graphics Affect Conversions.’
It references a study lead by advertising legend David Ogilvy (pictured above) that essentially debunks the myth that any use of images automatically translate to higher conversions. Turns out, that’s not entirely true.  Depending on their content, their placement, their quality and their relevance, some images can work against you.
